So they can only play the RnR Hotel in the District, but can play Rams Head in Baltimore, which has about four times the capacity?

OMG… something out of a dream, but i'm not sure what kind:

Def Leppard, Styx and Foreigner
Fri 08/17/07 Bristow, VA Nissan Pavilion
Sat 08/18/07 Virginia Beach, VA Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach
(lots of other N. Am. dates, see pollstar)

beware of cougars.
My understanding is that this version of Foreigner is sans Lou Graham, which makes their performance pointless. I think Dennis DeYoung still plays with Styx, but after the Def Leppard-Journey tour last year, perhaps Joe Elliott should be just a little worried about his job security?

I'm not sure he does anymore (at least not when I saw them a few years ago). It's mostly Tommy Shaw songs now.

I'm pretty sure Mick Jones is the only original member in the current lineup. Ugh.

I thought the same thing when I heard that they were playing Rams Head

Detroit Cobras are now the openers for the Cake show.

May 11 @ Pier Six.
Detroit Cobras had announced the full tour now and this is closest date they have to anywhere around here. So, no MD/DC/VA headlining show on this tour, unless something changes.

SWEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the new Tori Album sounds really good so far. Definitely her best effort in years.

Yes, I like her…feel free to make fun of me now.
Speaking of topless, fratboy, pot-smoking events:

Dave Matthews Band

According to Pitchfork

The Decemberists
07-14 Columbia, MD - Merriweather Post Pavilion (orchestral show)
Panda Bear
6/18 Bowery Ballroom NYC
6/23 sold out; 6/18 on sale today.

So he stiffs DC and adds another Bowery show. Weak. :(
Panda Bear is playing at the ottobar in Baltimore. Because Baltimore is better than DC.
PSYCHEDELIC FURS, ABC, THE FIXX

Pier Six
WEDNESDAY, JULY 4

Think that ottobar show will sell out? Been strongly considering either it or philly.
I think it will, eventually. It's a pretty small place.
