Just Announced

Last time they headlined here (indoor venue) was at DAR in 2006. 15 years! That's ridiculous.
Nothing scheduled between Philly on 9.3 and DC 9.8 so a ‘Surprise! At the Club’ for the Strokes would be highly appropriate :)

But they did play a surprise at the club after the rain out!!

Unfortunately I passed out early that night…and my friend called repeatedly but I didn’t get up…pre cell phone

Sad and embarrassing

That was the show where Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were photographed together ….. for first time I think? Definitely the single event that got 930 most coverage ever

I want to say the set list from that Radiohead show somehow ended up at nearby after hours joint Kingpin…how I do not know? that fucker stared me in the face for years

FORESHADOWING
The real question is, have the strokes released anything of value since 2003?

I've never been a big Strokes guy, but the New Abnomal was my favorite album of 2020. Much better than anything that Trey Pistachio has ever done.

Definitely their best record since Room on Fire, and the vinyl pressing sounds fantastic.
+1 on Strokes

Love the last album

Unfortunately that album is reason they will be playing stadiums and arenas
Travis 4/23/22 at Lincoln
Mission UK/Chameleons/ Theatre of Hate
9-7
Baltimore Soundstage
Saw Mission UK at Hammerjacks way back. Their album was #1 across the pond but the show was maybe 10% full. That’s all I remember about it.
Hammerjacks.  One of the greatest venues, in my lifetime.  Seeing Faith No More there, still reels around my brain.
FNM was one of the better shows I saw there. Slayer was the wildest by far,
Saw Big Audio Dynamite there.
Not sure night 2 of Mitski was announced
