Just Announced

I think he will headline both nights and some other bands will fill out the other spots.  Pretty much just like the Metallica festival and Dave Mathews thing.

Its just a misapplication of the term curated.. you curate an art exhibition of Monet paintings about Argenteuil… you don't curate something by picking a few bands/acts without any relation other than the fact the guy picking them picked them!

Not this time.  People are still talking about an upcoming event, not just arguing over non music topics for a few pages.  And a couple of posts in between upcoming show posts is one thing, but having 1 to 2 pages on non announcements…

I also find the term curated to be a bit odd of a choice for what one does in regards to a music festival.

the way the word "curated" is bandied about for this festivals is retarded… what does it mean?? his agent picked a few bands???

it means the organizers paid someone money to be able to try & dupe a bunch of lemmings into thinking there was actual artist input & participation

Kind of surprised to see Nicki Minaj play DAR, isn't she at least Patriot Center big right now, if not Verizon?

Seems like a step down from headlining the Club.  What is the capacity difference?
for post-game shows at Nats Park - what time do you think they start & stop?

Re: Nicki - maybe DAR was the only place available for her schedule.

Curious - U Street - same as U Hall?

I'm guessing 15 minutes after the game ends and they'll play no more than 5 songs.

U St, U Hall, U St Hall, U Street Hall, U Street Music Hall, etc are all the same place.

I once saw Cheap Trick play a post-game show right out Camden Yards. Way more than five songs.

According to this, it was 90 minutes.

I caught the Cheap Trick show on 8/7 (2004). They came on stage about a half hour after the O's-Rangers game ended and played for about an hour and a half. They sounded great…. good time.

I was at another game in Baltimore where the Bacon Brothers played after the game, but we listened for a minute and kept on walking out.

It's not a 9:30 Club show, but I'll take it.
