you're not the only source ;)  last time someone announced a SMD show (at the 930, i believe), several people crawled out from under their indie-rock to hate on them.  bookerT was especially vitriolic if i remember correctly.  i was just trying to head off the inevitable - looks like it worked.

yep…although i think there were only NYC dates last time.  Looks like this is the first night of the US tour
