Port City is the Joe Biden of local breweries.

Definitely. Also, the middling, middle of the road one that nobody gets excited about but many seem to buy anyway. Hell it's still clearly better than the billionaire owned breweries.  Or something like that.

Yada but they leaked the lineup and took it down

I do think I remember this being announced but I guess this is more formal
Yeah, they said this and Porto would be their only shows for 2020 IIRC.

Somewhere, your wife is clutching a frying pan and filling with rage for reasons she does not quite understand yet. . .

i have nothing to say about port city.  had a few of their beers, found them to be rather pedestrian.

that's devil's backbone, not port city.

i have little to say about port city, other than i don't get how they're still in business.  their beers fall between boring and pedestrian.

I thought Yada was jokingly mistaking Port City for Devil's Backbone, but anyway…

Totally agree with you on your assessment of Port City and though beer festival awards don't impress me, there's this:

Since its founding (in 2011), Port City has garnered a number of awards, including 11 medals at the Great American Beer Festival, 8 Good Food Awards, and 19 medals at the Virginia Craft Brewers Festival.

They also seem to sell a shit-ton of their witbier to females. At least based on my anecdotal observation in line at Whole Foods.

This article says they are shooting for 50,000 barrels a year, not sure how close they are. And my tax dollars are helping them.

Sorry, I know this is a beer thread topic, not JA.

I would go, if provided with free tickets.
This bill is also at the Wolf Tarp (7/15), The Met in Philly, Red Rocks, etc.

I would go, if provided with free tickets, free drinks, free dinner, transportation to and from, a paid babysitter, an additional ticket for my partner… actually, I still wouldn't go.

I would most definitely go to the Wolftrap show if you guys provided with all of those perks. Oh, and a designated driver other than my partner.

Anybody remember ElTee who used to post on here? She was a big Toad fan.

Since all i require is the tickets, I win/lose, I would prefer the Baltimore show. Venmo me. Thanks.

My wife loves pot so much, you wouldn't even have to sweeten it for her.

I actually watched part of the Trump rally the other night when I was waiting for the debate to start. I must say, infuriating yet at the same time highly entertaining. The in-between speakers music started with some typical Ford Truck commercial sounding faux- country artist, but continued with The Rolling Stones ("Playing with Fire"), Tina Turner, and Lionel Richie ("Hello", which just seemed so out of place.) Don't these artists care that Trump is using their songs, or is it just about the money and tax cuts for them?

a bunch of artists have been pissed off about this… (prince's estate, N young, the boss and I think a few more)
but it's not like it's an artist writing a song for the campaign or endorsing him

heck it would be all country, kid rock and the nuge  if they could only get artists that support him

Transportation means a designated driver
