Geddy Lee is washed up? News to me.

He probably bathes daily, but I don't really need to know.

Did you go to the book talk? How was it?
Amy is an artist I'd wish I'd caught live when I had the chance….alas this could be interesting.
we know the food will be 'off the hook'

Mind still blown by the knowledge that they're from Scotland.
I hate to say it but the Birchmere is a venue I never expect to go back to….they don’t book anything cool anymore…a bunch of country and folk has beens and has beens…

I mean yay Lyle Lovett for $119!! John Hiatt!! Tower of Power 135th anniversary tour!

Like Blues Alley, that place in Bethesda , I hardly check their listings
I think I'm going to the Hoodoo Gurus show in September
Exactly.
I have seen I think four shows there the past 20 years

Jorge Ben (bandstand show)
Liz Phair
Gene Ween sings Billy Joel
Bowie Tribute

We saw jay Farr and Dr John too
But maybe that was more than 20 years ago
I mean, I still go to the Birchmere for the food.
Yeah in the late 90s and early 2000s was different cause they lapped up a lot of great alternative country….Saw Lucinda Williams there…who knows what else…Iris Dement

But since the alternative country boom fizzled out it’s been very slim pickings…

Slim Pickings is playing the Birchmere?!?!
Seen some great shows there…

Luna, Calexico, Waifs, Aimee Mann, The Church, Howard Jones…

Agree that most of their lineup is uninteresting, but it's worth keeping an eye on their calendar. And let's face it, a lot of stuff anywhere is uninteresting (in  different ways).

Along those lines I saw Steve Earle there as well.
