As long as their very artist friendly model doesn’t change, I don’t see why…

At least it’s a company like Epic Games and not Amazon, Spotify, Microsoft, etc…

What's wrong with MSFT?

Epic games breeds incels and weirdos.

acquired by Epic Games, not Monsanto or Ticketmaster… has EG said that they were going to change Bandcamp's business model?  will artists be receiving a smaller percentage of purchases?  as long as bands get what they were getting before, i don't care who signs the paychecks.  hell, with Epic on their side maybe they can further improve the tech.  i'm short on details here, so apologies, but i hope the above comment isn't a knee-jerk reaction…

My post was a "joke." But no one aquires a business to not make money off them. We shall see!
Season tickets to JLL*
$239

*except for Morgan Wallen (June 4), Josh Groban (July 13)
It's really stunning how awful the JLL bookings are.
Sadly Kenny Chesney's June 2070 concert at the Lube has been cancelled

apologies, my sarcasm meter is in the shop.  agreed that companies are acquired to make money, but there are ways of making money with an acquisition other than just cranking up prices or squeezing suppliers (in this case, stiffing the artists).

Yes, yes. Lawn, parking and "fast pass" entrance. Warm undrinkable beer is extra.

"The Weeknd’s hit single “Blinding Lights” has just marked a major milestone, as Billboard revealed on Tuesday that the song is now No. 1 on their Greatest Songs of All Time Hot 100 chart.

The synth-heavy track, which dominated the No. 1 spot for four weeks, had a record-breaking run on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, earning the most weeks as a top five hit (43 weeks), a top 10 hit (57 weeks) and a top 40 hit (86 weeks). Therefore, “Blinding Lights” surpassed Chubby Checker’s 1960s classic “The Twist” as the all-time No. 1 song, spending 90 total weeks on the Hot 100 Chart."

Add in his superbowl halftime show and I think it's safe to consider him a megastar.
And explosion in silver spring.
