Yippee! Saw these guys at Iota last year and they were nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend checking them out. See you there, amnesiac!
Agreed. That show was great. Definitely one of the best I'd seen last year.

Also, rumor has it Will Sheff will be doing a solo show at DC9 in August. Not exactly sure when, but I really hope it's not when I'm in Chicago.

THE BLACK KEYS READY NEW RECORD AND BIGGEST TOUR YET

As if opening six recent dates for RADIOHEAD weren't big enough news
for the BLACK KEYS, the duo will begin a headlining tour of mid-size
venues in North America and Europe this September. The trek is in support
of the Keys' first album for Nonesuch, "Magic Potion," which is due out
September 12th. A September 6th stop in Seattle starts the tour, with a
two-night closing expected in Washington, DC, on November 5th and 6th.

LOL…I was gonna say, too bad that ban won't be in effect!
Holy God, yes! Does the 930 Club count as a "Mid-size venue?"

Wow. I had no idea the Black Keys were that big to do back to back nights. I assumed those shows would be at Black Cat.
The last show they had at 930 sold out pretty quickly from what I remember.
Not really, it was pretty close to the day of the show when it sold out. At least that's what I remember, but now that they're on a new label and have opened for Radiohead they'll probably sell out quicker.
