$20 would be mine. I think they were around $20 at Sonar a few months back.
Hmmm, I wonder which would be a better show to go to? Jens Lekman or Spoon…would seeing Jens Lekman be appreciably different than seeing a Jonathan Richman show? Is Spoon as mediocre live as this board has always claimed? Or maybe I should hold out for a possible Hold Steady/Art Brut DC show and skip the other two altogether…

You're going to go to The Hold Steady and Art Brut? Holy crap, I might attend the same show as you.
If my girls let me out of the house. :D

I kind of want to hang out with Charlie Nakatestes. Just to say I have. It's like getting my picture taken with OJ Simpson!
Nothing like hanging out with the one sober guy at a Hold Steady show. ;)

If we both go, there'll be two. If I have to drive back to Richmond, I'm not drinking.

I saw Art Brut at the BLack Cat last time they came around about a year ago, totally amazing live.

THIEVERY CORPORATION TO PLAY THE ECHO PROJECT FESTIVAL ON 10/13!
Thievery Corporation will take a break from recording their new album to return to Atlanta to play the Echo Project on Saturday, October 13th. Also appearing
that weekend are such acts as The Killers, Cat Power, The Roots, Brazilian Girls, and many moreâ?¦

Tickets are on sale now and more information is available at

http://www.the-echoproject.com/

Too bad the rest of that lineup is super lame.

A mid-week thievery club run a few days later would be nice while they're at it though. ;)
hmmn, the roots, cypress hill, thievery and the killers are not enough for me to fly to atlanta for the weekend.

now, if they added the chemical brothers and daft punk, then i'd be there in a flash!

why cannot we get these two bands in dc?
Ouch…I have to choose between the apples in stereo at the club and girl talk/dan deacon at the black cat?

And how are the apples playing the club? There couldn't have been more than 100 people at the black cat when I saw them last october.

i believe that was the night of beck's "secret" show in the backroom, if so i think that distracted/took away from AiS (people went downstairs to stake out a spot in line, people never ended up going upstairs, etc).
