Just Announced

Mandy Moore (!)
Rachel Yamagata
Birchmere
9/11
What a strange pairing. I'm looking forward to Rachael coming around. But, to pay for only an opening set and have more dollars wind up in Mandy Moore's pocket than Rachael's? I don't think so.

It'd be nice to have some info on the new Rachael Yamagata album someday…

Holy Fuck is pretty good.

I think I'm going with !!! / The Field. More or less, JUST for the Field. He's amazing. Seriously, I've been head over heels with his album since it came out.
I wonder if there will be any shootings outside of Jammin Java

Tuesday September 11 $25 8PM Country Legend
An Evening with Billy Joe Shaver (full band)
"Shaver shows heâ??s got the goods to make soulful country music with a rock edge.â? â??Rolling Stone
As a living lightning rod for the blues, Billy Joe Shaver is one rough 'n' rowdy Texan who's experienced more than enough joy and pain in his sixty-three years to ever have to go begging for material.

Like Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, and Jimmie Rodgers, Billy Joe has lived the songs he sings–when it's about love, he's embraced it; when it's about grief, he's writhed in it; and when it's about screwing-up, well, Lord knows he's done it. When Shaver kicks his to-the-bone tales back our way, they smack of irrefutable truth–a truth that's delivered with simple, poetic grace.
I.M.P presents Sinead O'Connor.

Tickets go onsale Friday, August 10th at 10:00 a.m.

I love her, but I find her audience to be incredibly annoying…

I also enjoy her on record, but I have never seen her live. She definitely seems like the type that would attract ALOT of annoying, pushy fan-girls.

Saw her at Sonar not too long ago, her fans are RIDICULOUSLY annoying, but she's a doll live. Hopefully she hits 930 again.

exactly! but def see her. i didnt want to. but really liked. it may all be an act - but she projects the most emotion you're likely to ever see @ a concert. it can be very moving
