July 16th Highline Ballroom (Official Record Release Show), NYC
July 17th Rock 'N' Roll Hotel, Washington, DC
July 18th  Ottobar, Baltimore, MD

new album, "Civilized", out on July 7.
I was listening to their first album yesterday. Still awesome, and the couple of times I saw them around then were incredible.

Second album, not so much. Still interested to see what they do.

I loved that first album, and the show they played at the Black Cat (with a pre-Fuss Killers opening) was one of the best shows I've seen this decade. I thought for sure they were headed for the big time, but as Julian pointed out, the second album was a letdown. They are a good live act though and I'll probably catch this.

Is the Sonic Youth pre-sale sold out, or did they never actually go on sale?

I thought it started on May 2nd?
I caught that show also (on the left coast). I do remember people were there mostly for the Killers…I did like both band's set…

Sonic Youth presale was supposed to start at 10AM - I imagine it's sold out?  How much are tickets anyway??
looks like presale tickets are gone…

I saw that same tour, but in Richmond. All of 30 people showed up. Heck of a show. Ambulance Ltd was also on the bill, another band that put out a really good first EP/LP then dropped off.

I was able to pull 1 ticket at about 10:15. But i couldn't get 2

The tickets were $25
Hadn't seen this one before - should be a pretty great show. Really liked Jansch's Drag City album from a few years ago.

I was beginning to think they'd never come back. Great news.

enjoy Sonic Youth. Bowerbirds and Megafaun = great bill.
hope there is a second Sonic Youth date though.
i'm just a little underwhelmed with Sonic Youth live nowadays that I don't care if I miss them.

What time will this fest end?…
Great lineup except for Chairlift…

If Pollstar says there's another date, it must be true.

J/K; I've seen mistakes up there before.

Don't know but I just asked Casey Thrushes for you. He's good at knowing that kind of stuff.

Regarding Chairlift: They had to put someone in there for dinner and bathroom breaks.  ;D

-Edit-
No clock times yet but that list is believed to be the order of play with APTBS being the closing headliners. Looks about right to me.

Baltimore is a 2:00AM bar closing town so I suspect it may all end about midnight or so. Maybe sooner. You know there's always various locals who won't let the racket go on any longer. Anyway, when I get any further word, I'll post it here.
Thanks!  Just saw the Metro Gallery website…some good shows coming up…

hope I can catch the Pomegranates show (with Wye Oak) on 5/16, Title Tracks/Cymbals Eat Guitars on 5/29 and Kingsbury Manx on 5/22.
