you are probably thinking of slumber party… a bands whose sound is much more suited to more intimate venues.Didn't the Slumber Party open for Belle & Sebastian? From what I read about them prior to the show, I thought they were going to be quality but I have to say after hearing them live I thought they were just awful.

Now The Donnas, WTF!?!?!? I cannot stand them! They give girl bands a bad name (no pun intended!). It's such a shame that it isn't someone like the 22-20s, The Archie Bronson Outfit or The Blueskins who would all be so much more appropriate. (Did Kurosawa just say this? I don't know. She and I have been pretty much of the same mind lately. Kind of like Sonick and Guiny are to each other.)

As for The Donna's, I thought they were pretty good last time, so depending how many other shows are playing that week, I may hit them up again.
I've seen the Donnas a couple times and it kind of bored me, the Von Bondies though, swear "C'Mon C'Mon" is like the single for me, and I'll have to see what's goin on to attend that show.
Any thoughts on these bands?

Now this sounds like a fucking show:
According to Pitchfork, "Liars will be playing an afternoon show at a parking lot in Williamsburg. The show, which will take place September 4th, will see the band hitting the stage with Lightning Bolt, Panthers, Sightings and Shoplifting, so it promises to be an ear-bleedingly good time. Tickets are 12 bucks, which we figure is probably less than you'd pay to park your car there."
