Well I didn't care for her on SNL. I realize I'm just on anecdotal person. And that doesn't mean that I don't care for Latin music in general…I have plenty of Latin and Latin-tinged music in my music collection. I just didn't care for her.

My wife always uses the line about music critics being middle aged white males as a way to negate my argument, any time I try to help justify my liking something that she doesn't. I really don't know what the makeup is of music critics.

But even in the 1990s Edna Gundersen was one of the biggest music critics around …we are 25 years past that!!

I was watching some Sunday news show this weekend and it was a bunch of women, a black dude with a nascent fro wearing pink and just a couple middle aged white dudes

I did enjoy me some flamenco when I was in Seville back in the early 2000's.

I saw that same show. They guy with the fro also was wearing fingernail polish (turquois blue I think?) I'm not going to knock him for doing that ( I wore toenail poiish for a while when I was much younger.) But seeing him looking like that on a tv news show (the clothes and the nail polish, not the afro) did make me think "This is why the conservatives are laughing at us."
