considering they are playing in nyc on the 16th that would not make sense.
that kinda thing happens on a lot of tours. not really a big deal.
sorry i wasnt aware from tours that ive paid attention to that bands go from DC to NYC back to B'more. At least the bands I've seen that rarely is the case.
Not being picky, but yeah, I've seen it happen frequently.

Regardless, I've worked a way to see the Spree again! Yay. (And no, I dont have a problem getting to Baltimore. It just happens to be on a weekend I'm not in town, so…sucks for me. I'll just take my bitching elsewhere. Womp Womp!)

You really only have to see the Spree once. I was a bit underwhelmed last time at the club. I think it's the new songs. They were way better 3 years ago.

It's possible they'll play DC on the 18th since the 17th is so far the last date on that tour, but I have no idea…need to ask Ned…Rooney have skipped DC on the last like three-four tours but they really really really like playing Rams Head, so i wouldn't be surprised if that was it.

I'm mad because I am costuming a musical that night and the SAME EXACT THING happened with Rooney last year at the same time. But I'm going to try and sneak away early… ;)
People asked, here are the answers.
Jimmy Eat World 10/30/07
5:30 pm Doors
Price: $24 per ticket. After all the service fees it comes to $32 per if you have them mailed to you and purchased over the Internet.
Hope that this is helpful.

Roundtrip tickets to/from chicago the week of the shellac residency are $150-ish and shellac tickets are already on sale.

A hotel room for 5 nights will be pricy though.
those of you that live in city limits, i expect to see at the 930 on 10/5:

Gypsy Eyes Records, ESL Music, The Federal Reserve, Proper Topper and the DC Public Library Foundation Present a Fund Raiser for the DC Public Library System featuring performances by Federico Aubele (live), Kitty Hawk, Rose, and special ESL Music guest DJ's and many more…

you could fly in friday evening, catch the friday, sat x2 and early sunday show, fly back sunday evening - 4 shows for 2 night's accomodation. much more affordable, and you might not even need to take any time off work.
Hmm…That does sound doable.

6 shows is a little excessive anyway.

Sounds like a good drunken weekend in Chicago to me!

FYI, it doesn't appear as though Clutch is headlining this, assuming the 9:30 e-newsletter is correct. Too bad for me, as I missed the Clutch 9:30 show earlier this year. I'm not familiar with Coheed & Cambria. Any good?

From what I've heard the music isnt too bad, but the singing makes me want to choke things.

Perhaps the worst band in the history of terrible music. It's like the fat guy from Lost singing emo lyrics based on comic book characters he invented, then wrapped in the worst excesses of guitar wankery ever recorded. It's Rush for the Hot Topic scene.
And if that doesn't scare you straight, they headlined Warped Tour. Fucking Warped Tour. You know its gotta be awful just from that alone.
I guess I'll pass then and wait for the next Clutch headlining show. Thanks for the opinions.

That is probably the most accurate description of Coheed that I've ever heard.
I'd definitely check this out tonight if I lived in Baltimore, but I'm not sure if I'd call these guys "legends".

COME TO THE SOUND GARDEN AT 7:00 TONIGHT AND CATCH THIS VERY SPECIAL PERFORMANCE! VAN HUNT AND J. HOLIDAY WILL TREAT YOU TO AN INTIMATE IN-STORE PERFORMANCE!!

THIS IS A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THESE TWO R&B LEGENDS PERFORM TOGETHER. YOU'LL BE FRONT AND CENTER FOR THIS UNBELIEVABLE EVENT!

all you had to say was "Rush" and I would have automatically been uninterested in the first place.
