Katy Perry/Robyn
Merriweather 6/15

That's awesome because Marina and the Diamonds and Robyn have mucho indie cred.  They're LOVED on Pitchfork.  So you can hipster convince yourself that you're going to see the two opening acts and then SINCE YOU ALREADY PAID FOR THE TICKET, you guess you mine as well stay and smirk and roll your eyes at Katy Perry and you TOTALLY won't seem like a perv.

Brian
you know i used to read the reviews on pitchfork and maybe even value their opinions on what i might listen to.  then i read what they said about the knife's previous albums.  and they can go fuck themselves.
Marc Masters is the only Pitchfork reviewer left that is consistently worth reading.

The news section is still worthwhile, though.
Marina and the diamonds suck the big one, live
Walkies, check here and here for quality reviews.

willow smith is the new annie

which is total bullshit

first of all, annie was set in the 40's . . . not in today's era of rich white people adopting black kids.  who in the hell is daddy warbucks gonna be, charlie murphy?
Damn…3/10 is busy.

Would love to catch White Hills but am leaning toward the Ty Braxton/Wild Flag double header.

The Ray Kurzweil thing would be appealing too if it didn't cost so much.
White Hills!!! Oh yes!!! So there!

How is that venue? I can't believe I haven't been there yet.
I ate there once but have never been to a show there. The salad I had there was stellar if that means anything.
Golden West is nice. It does get kinda crowded but there are lots of nooks and corners to hang out in. Its also right next to the True Vine record shop. Both shows I went to there were fun times.
