Just Announced

Recher holds about 800. Standing room only.
After a quick look on their site it doesn't look like the Recher is Metro accessible :( I've heard such great things about Silversun's live shows too. What a time for a transmission failure.

now now, you can actually go from little italy to charles center on the metro!!!!

and technically, the light rail is part of the metro, so there, you can go to timonium too!

but no, not towson.

if you took a marc train from DC to Penn Station, then too the 11 Bus, you could actually get from DC to Towson without driving or taking a cab. it'd be about about $9 each way though.

course, not sure how you'd get home cause i bet the marc train stops round 10pm!

regarding elvis costello … what do his setlists look like? i'd pay $75 to see him play stuff off his first 5-8 albums, but not to hear the adult contemporary pap that he does these days … any ideas?
Who knows with Elvis? However, I do know from my limited sample size that he is slightly more likely to play older stuff when he isn't directly promoting a new album. Which I don't think he's doing on this small tour. I'm sure you'll hear several songs from "The Delivery Man." I saw him with Emmylou Harris about two years ago and it was an amazing concert. But he was promoting "The Delivery Man" so a lot of those songs were played.

The REAL treat (which I missed out on) was when he played The Ram's Head in Baltimore about a year ago. Steve Nieve couldn't play this show because he had to attend a premiere of a piece he wrote in London (or something.) So, Elvis recruted David Hildago (from Los Lobos) to fill and they became "Elvis Costello & The Pickups." Since it was a two guitar line-up, supposedly they played a LOT of old rockier stuff. Less ornate keyboard songs.

But who know if I'll get tickets to this? I wonder how many ticket are allocated for the pre-sale. I don't know anyone who has Visa signature card. That must be Elvis's demo now.

RE: Elvis C tickets

You don't need a VISA signature card to purchase. However, you need the 6 digits of a Visa signature card as password (maybe you know someone who does). The presale is until April 5 or 6 I believe.

Thanks for the tip. I think I'll still have a hard time finding someone who has one but thanks anyway. I must have poor, non-exclusive friends.

No kidding, same here. I've been trying to find somebody with one of those damned things for a couple days now…
Recher is this opposite of Lupo's (if you happen to have been there).

Lupo's is VERY wide - but not so deep. So, everyone is about 10-15 people deep from the stage - but you could be REALLY far to the left or right of the stage.

Recher is VERY narrow AND deep. Almost everyone is in front of the stage, center. But, you could be about 80 people deep.

Make sense, or did I just confuse you even more?
Well since ALL VISA cards start with the same number you are 1/6 of the way towards figuring out a valid 6 digit code…
