Cannot say for sure.
Just Announced
Has anyone heard any ticket info the John legend/Roots Marvin Gaye show at the Kennedy Center?

Just one more gig to add to the super long list of stuff that should never have been booked there.
Could easily sell out the club.
And will sound like ass. As will James Blake.
Just posting to say ditto…James Blake at RnR will sound like ass and he could easily have sold out 9:30. Odd Future will peg people in the head with full bottles of water and crowdsurf and probably break the fire code in multiple ways (as if their purported capacity of 400 doesn't already do that).

Yessss. I'm glad they're playing the club this time! I was front row next to Pajo at DAR.
I really don't think (and I really hope) that Rock the Bells would book Wiz… they've always been very good about booking straight Hip-Hop, and avoiding rap.
What's the difference between straight hip-hop and rap?
Maybe this is the hipsteur talking but Odd Future at a small club seems way more exciting than a "big" stage like 9:30. On the other hand, I'd love to see James Blake but having him at the hotel seems just dumb.

Somewhere in Richmond. Will post when I find out more. Will also include later who I know was asked to play with them once it's confirmed. Good match if it works out!

what kind of music is this? is this the kind we can dance in the pit and smash peoples faces off to? ;D
@ William the Great:
^ Well, I guess you can but it's not the sort of 'dancing' that their fans are into.
Hard garagey sort of Shoegaze though sometimes more dreamy, depending on the songs. I play them both on my station. Both ideal in smaller venues like the Blackcat's Backstage.
You should go if you are in the area. Think you'd like them.

of course shoegaze… ;D I wonder where in richmond they are playing, probably canal club
They may be playing Strange Matter, they've had some shoegazey acts recently. Do let us know when it gets announced, because that sounds interesting.
I saw Ringo Deathstarr at College Park in a tiny room at the radio station. Thank goodness I had ear protection! I wish we could get a SPC ECO/Ringo Deathstarr gig like they had in the UK…

I would add that in my estimation, rap is the whore of contemporary black culture (lil wayne, wiz, etc), hip-hop is the SOUL of contemporary black culture (Tribe, NAS, KRS-One). Hiphop will tell you things and teach you things, Rap will make you want to push a benz and get ice from Jacob
People at rap concerts get into fights and stab eachother for shoes, people at hiphop shows got love
