They know that these two would be late if they were to open doors at 7 like usual so they said "fuck it" and chose to open doors late.

Edit:Then again, that wouldn't make sense because one would think the club would want to use that lateness to sell alcohol.

Did Trey Anastasio go on on time at FSS? I'd bet he didn't.
But given that he is supposedly clean now, that's more to make sure his fans don't miss the show.

J Mascis is great at the solo acoustic ballad thing. Thurston, not so much.
Although I would not be surprised if it sold out because it is Thurston Moore.
