Just Announced

Youth of Today
U Street Music Hall
June 3
I'm confused. So… hiphop is stuff that was recorded 20 years ago and doesn't sell any more and rap is everything that's happening now? And Nas has written some fine lyrics and he's written "Money is my Bitch". Is that crossover? Where do BIG and Tupac fit?

This sounds like a blog argument.

i'm a HUGE zep fan, but… $175/day?  3-day pass for $325?  no thanks.

and that website gives me a headache.  with those kinds of prices, you'd think they could get someone other than their 11-year-old nephew to design it.

Hah.

I see Slapshot is playing there in May.  Strange.
Odd Future

Sonar

Hell yes!
Fuck Steve Lambert!
And Steve Harvey, too.
Here's the whole East Coast tour. Kinda brutal

RNR Hotel just posted a low ticket warning, so it sounds liek you should hop on these if you're going.

That Slapshot show will be the only one in the area, as I understand it they're being flown down just to play DC.
Which will be higher at this show, the average age of the band, or the average iq of the crowd?

Tough call.

I resent that.  I was watching the trailer for their upcoming documentary, and found out a guy i work with roadied for them in the 80's.  And he's a smart guy, who does a very hard job.

Just kidding.  Not about my co-worker, just about the resentment.

It will be a draw.

tough call indeed.  only thing certain is that both put together won't be higher than the amount of predictable snark coming from jaded online hipsters.
