you should be ashamed of yourself.
Stupid tangential anecdote #1: An old buddy of mine was supposed to be playing at the (legendary) Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto but when I got there I found him drowning his sorrows at the bar. Turns out they got bumped by Blue Rodeo, who were recording a session for CBC-TV. Only about 25 people were in there watching BR tape their special. Sarah McLachlan was singing backups for them (this was before she really broke big in the US). It was so cool to watch them that close. Alot of talent in that band (if you're into their style of alt-country-rock).

Stupid tangential anecdote #2: Blue Rodeo's "Lost Together" was the first song at my wedding. My wife's choice. I wanted TPOH's "Killed By Love" but I lost.

Didn't even stay to see them hit the stage.

$75 for the rhythm section of CCR? Weren't John Fogerty tickets cheaper than that?

He tapes his show for IFC, "Henry's Film Corner" in L.A. and I think also runs his publishing company from there…might make it hard to relocate here and have to fly back all the time….

I ran into him and Ian Mackaye at Crooked Beat a few weeks ago.

Not yet, he did say he bought some property in Springfield VA and is going to build a house there.
According to Billboard:

MIA
Sept. 21: Washington, D.C. (9:30 Club)
Nothing like a blockhead punk rocker coming in and lowering the property value.

Why would he choose the burbs over blessed DC?

That's where Dave Grohl has a house as well (or at least he did)…must be the 'burb with the most rocker cred.
