looks like there will be a presale at some point, check out willie's tour page for updates (currently no info available). depending on the type of presale, you might need to be a member of his fan club.

Are you taking your mom to Tool?

So, I just noticed that Schoolyard Heroes are opening for The Horrors at the Rock and Roll Hotel show on June 8. I would so be there if it weren't for the fact that I'll be seeing Tool that night in Baltimore.

I've heard good things about The Horrors, but still haven't checked them out at all. When they left the tour with BRMC (to which I briefly considered going), I never thought they'd go find a kickass opener that would make me want to see them. Perhaps I'll drive over to Philly the next night…
She bought the tickets, as a matter of fact. She was at the Verizon show last year, which I unfortunately missed, and she said it was pretty incredible. She's seen A Perfect Circle, too. I have yet to see Maynard in any form, having just missed chances to see Tool on several occasions, so I'm pretty psyched for this.
That's a bizarre pairing.

I don't tend to exaggerate a lot, so listen closely. A Perfect Circle was great, but Tool is nothing short of :D , see below:

There's lasers and shit everywhere, very Pink Floyd-esque. One of the better shows I've ever seen. And I've seen MANY . . . . . True story . . .

I was also that night at the Verizon Center, and it was magical, I would have love to hear Pushit, I know that they played it in Arizona, but anyways, what a great f*cking night

I'm thinking about going to this
July 20th
Borgata
Atlantic City, NJ

estimated driving distance from DC (according to Mapquest)
Atlantic City: 176 miles
Norfolk: 192 miles.

Plus, AC is much more fun than Norfolk.
i think i'll be heading to that one for the show and the gambling for my birthday. supersweet.

Yeah, but that I95 corridor drive, then heading out to AC through Jersey, is one hard drive. I'd stake a week's pay that it takes far longer to get to AC from DC… Hey, I'd rather go to AC, just sayin'!!
You've obviously not done much driving between DC and Fredericksburg on 95S.

95 South is no picnic. In my experience, driving to AC on a summer Friday is easier than driving to Norfolk.
Very true, and it just gets worse when you get to I-64 for that last leg of the trip.
