This is cancelled.

That's right. The band announced that a couple days ago but I never bothered to come in here and note as such.  ;)
Tyvek, SoftSpot and others added to MacRock 2013.  I am not sure when the final artist list comes out, but for 20 bucks over 2 days with all of these bands?  I think it is a good deal and will be a good time.

why is it not called the mosque anymore?????

Dylan is also hitting Newark Delaware for those interested… I saw him at the venue there about 1999 with susan tedeschi opening…bob was hitting her hard that night…

they may add a dc show… there are some open dates..

it is the mosque to anyone who has been in richmond very long.  To the libs who worry that someone somewhere might someday somehow be offended by 'politically correct' banished terms well, what can you say…  I fail to see how anyone could be offended by such an amazing and beautiful piece of architecture being named a word that also can be used for other purposes.  Sad part is that the people who pussied out about this name were NOT the ones in the so called 'offended group' (is almost never is), but people who THOUGH that the ones in the group might be upset.  Libs always need a cause.

Well I wish they'd still call it the Mosque and I'm liberal so I'm not sure what you're talking about…

I saw a few shows at the Mosque..

what is ottobar like, did i already ask that, am i going to wonder whether you get shot or stabbed?
You will not get shot or stabbed. I have been dozens of times and have never felt in danger. Parking is around back if you can get it and it is nicely lit. If you are still worried, this wont be Celebration's only upcoming area show

Edit: oh you said for me… Don't worry I'll be fine

Nice!  No advance sales?
Only time they did advance sales was the Raincoats as far as I know.
I'm fairly certain I bought tickets in advance to Municipal Waste in 2011, but that may have been a different promoter.
I do remember that vaguely, now.

Still rare.

Damn. That conflicts with Redd Kross and the Slumberland showcase.
