@ the Ottobar
Top to bottom it's not as good as last year. Had a really good time both nights.
They will have more additions over the coming months.

I am mainly excited for Stuck Pigs, Terry Malts, Celebration, Mannequin Pussy, and Gauche.  It will be a good time.

this is also at SoundStage on 11/7
Am I the only person snickering about Greenday playing the club for $65? I'd at least hope they'd play a shit ton of old stuff (pre-American Idiot at least) and that they'd light their drum kit on fire. (Back in the early 2000's, I saw them twice and both times they trashed the stage. It was glorious!)

I should mention that as I'm writing this post, I'm listening to "California Uber Alles" by the Dead Kennedys. It just randomly started playing on Sirius XMU.

Ps - anyone going to see the Buzzcocks? I'll hopefully be at the show for real.

Thank you for joining my snickering. Regardless, it's been said that it will be an instant sellout.

So who's got the promo code for the Green Day presale that's on now?

Yes, please share.
$65 is not that expensive. I mean, how much would tickets be if it was at the Patriot Center? They'd still be close to $50 I bet.

Do you want to go because you were too young to have seen them in their heyday and are feeling nostalgic for simpler times?  Or are you a fan who listens to the new music that they put out?
I actually thought uno, dos and tres had some great songs on them. I'm a fan and want to go see this show but I doubt I'll be able to get tickets.
They are actually really good live.  Yes hate me all you want, but I like them
;D
I don't think I've thought about Greenday since they had mud thrown at them at Woodstock. I'd go see them if someone gave me a free ticket.

Hoping for older material. Saw them only in arenas and at Merriweather around american idiot.
They've dropped some names for the ?Freedom Sounds: A Community Celebration? festival on Sept. 24 and 25 on the Mall:

Public Enemy
Living Colour
Roots
Experience Unlimited
Meshell Ndegeocello

I cribbed that info from the Post but can't find anything on the museum site, if anyone else has a link with the full lineup and or/set times please post.

Cannot wait for the Buzzcocks.  Steve Diggle is one of my favorite rockers, you can see the beat of RnR in his eyes and the joy of performing on his face.
I'd go only on the condition that the ticket was free along with the mud.

Guess I'll try on Friday anyway..

Nostalgia for sure.  I never saw them back in their awesome HFStival days, and they've been on my to-see list for like 20 years.  I have never been interested in seeing them at Verizon or whatever other terrible venues they play, but I'm damn sure excited to see them at 930!  Here's hoping I get like 3-4 songs I know and like!
