Seen some great shows there…

Luna, Calexico, Waifs, Aimee Mann, The Church, Howard Jones…

Agree that most of their lineup is uninteresting, but it's worth keeping an eye on their calendar. And let's face it, a lot of stuff anywhere is uninteresting (in  different ways).

Totally agreed. Not an ideal venue, but I've seen some amazing shows there…Red House Painters (old location), Luna, Bob Mould and Kristin Hersh, Badly Drawn Boy, the Zombies, and Superchunk.
best show at the Birchmere I've seen was David Byrne… maybe in 02 or 03?
Damian + Stephen Marley
I once saw the Avett Brothers open for BR549 in the small exterior hall of the Birchmere. They were terrible. Raw punk rock meets jug band style that totally didn't work. A completely different kind of terrible than the terrible they turned into.

BR549 were great as always. But then Bob Dylan stole Donnie away and they were never the same.

If they just did Oasis and Stone Roses it would be great! But I don’t think that will happen

Oasis were always Stone Roses copyists…. or the next and more watered down step

I mean Liam’s frontman routine is virtually  a carbon copy of Ian Brown
Still kinda sad that John Squire never really toured here, and broke up not only the Stone Roses (sacrilege) but the Seahorses. Then a few years ago, he auctioned off his musical equipment, saying he was done with music blah blah blah.

Now he's going to make music with, Liam Gallagher? Oasis was so damn boring…
I'm hoping for the best but not really optimistic. Still pining away here for Stone Roses and Seahorses reunions… or some future Squire band that's likely to be as good as those two…
The hook on that Gallagher/Squire teaser is giving me chills
