Never been

8th Street, Cap Hill. I've walked by numerous times but never been inside.

I Saw Solo (the movie) there….seats are incredibly uncomfortable, decent venue.  Never seen live music there

I think Waxhatchee played a solo acoustic show there pre pandemic… bummed I missed it.
I know Adrian from Big Theif has played there a few times too
Are we going to get Misfits at the Anthem in 2022?

blasphemy
Some big names at Echostage this june

Zedd- 6/11
David Guetta -6/17
Tiësto - 6/18
June ? Wow

I think Anthem really needs to book more of these types of shows… they are my favorite type.. the EDM… the crowds have been the best of any genre for these shows… very fun, young, mixed and quirky…

I do agree the Antem is set up really well for these kinda shows
I really don't like echostage for a long list of reasons
but the "music"…

My wife and I were agreeing on this same thing yesterday when we got an email. We’d attend a Guetta/Tiesto weekend at Anthem in a heartbeat. At echo stage, no thanks. We did get thrown out of there for “underage drinking” about a week after we got married at a Armin Van Buren show, so we may be biased.
^^that's juicy^^
Jam band shows are the polar opposite of EDM shows

I didn’t want to say it earlier
I've always found that security at the club for EDM shows was overbearing and unpleasant. Not so much for jam bands or other genres
I can totally see that…

There are two distinct approaches I think

- these are mainly young people we can’t just have people in a glaze looking like they don’t know their name tripping balls

- let people trip as long as they look ok and aren’t creating issues with anyone else and are with someone…maybe offer them a glass of water

I think it’s an evolving situation…

But can I say I just love the EDM shows!
Such interesting people…
