It seems like Dave Matthews is a little out of place in that list?

Something in the Water Festival
June 17-19, 2022
Independence Ave

I'm definitely not the market for this fest…only band I'd kind of like to see on that list is Run the jewels.
I'd be ok with seeing some of the others, but that's a really low number for a three day fest

Locals Presale
Virginia residents will have special access to a “Virginia Locals Only” presale taking place Friday, April 29 from 10:00am ET through 5:00pm

$300 plus fees for a 3 day pass

this is being put on by the DC gov't?!
put on by the same people who did the Landmark fe st Front Gate Tickets. (who i to appear to be the only fan in existence)

this too is interesting, but makes sense
Wristband Activation is required via mobile app (released in early June 2022).
Wristbands are non-transferable once applied.
Wristbands are valid for the entire weekend.
Wristbands are good for one person only and may not be shared.
There you go sidehatch! Your music festival within a few miles! Enjoy

The festival was original going to be in Virginia Beach but Pharrell was feuding with them over it and decided to move it to DC.
Ahh..was wondering what the Bus pass for VA Beach was for

Not included was him promising me there would be more punk bands to be announced in the harDCore spirit.

It’s weird but I can’t find much on setlist  fm; not sure Crowded House has played the US in a long time…

I mean Neil Finn played Lincoln in 2014

Crowded House played Wolftrap in 2010

i saw crowded house at coachella in… 2006?  it was their first show in the US in some number of years, they may have come out of retirement or something.  anyhoo, it was a big deal that they were on the bill and were given the penultimate slot of the night, right before the headliner.  now normally that would be an honor, but unfortunately that night the headliner was RATM - their first show since the breakup.  in case you're wondering, the crossover between Rage and CH was maybe 12 people out of tens of thousands… and those thousands were amped for "killing in the name of", they had zero time for "don't dream it's over" and the like.  neil came out all smiles and happy to be there and that attitude lasted about 2 songs.  the crowd was awful to him and the band.  neil tried to win over the crowd at first but it was useless.  i'll never forget the look of utter confusion, incredulity and disappointment on neil's face.  he came out thinking "this is going to be the best gig of my life", "this is the start of our comeback", "this is what i've missed all these years" - only to be met by a horde of savages yelling at them to get off the stage (as if that would make RATM show up any earlier than their scheduled start time).  at the end of their set the band limped off stage, neil stayed behind for an extra 20-30 seconds, just starring at the crowd, soaking it in, dumbfounded, trying to process what has just happened…  he was seriously questioning his life choices at that moment.  i remember being angry at whatever organizer decided on that night's lineup.
