Just Announced

HFS announced their winter show, for the 3 people who care:

Jimmy Eat World
Franz Ferdinand
Keane
The Killers

It's like $60 - not worth it for 2 or 3 good acts and having to sit through Good Charlotte.
Hmmm, but you could leave after Jimmy Eat World and go grab a drink. Do we know where the show is?
According to the HFS website, it's at the Patriot Center, Saturday, December 4.

Does anyone have any info on this? I haven't heard anything about it. You can private message me.

they just added it like 10 days ago (apparently LL Cool J was supposed to do a show there, but he cancelled). so the ad might still say LL, but it's definitely tribe.

i'm hoping to go to this.

I can't find a website for Michael's except for
weddings which is their site for wedding stuff, and nothing else. Tribe doesn't have a website and nothing is mentioned on spitkicker. But I did check ticketbastard and it was listed. So it has to be true. I plan on going now.
I just want to make sure these shows don't get buried in other threads:

11/20 Two if by Sea + The Good North @ DC9
12/5 Oxford Collapse + Two if by Sea @ the Warehouse
Yea hitman, that's the place. Its a long rectangular room that can be partitioned and is mostly used for wedding receptions. I saw Quicksand and the Deftones there a long time ago, maybe 1998.

My high school prom was there. But that was a little over ten years ago, hard to remember. What's it like to see a show there? Any good? Does it end up being an intimate type setting?
in the dark ages of the forum, michael's got very poor reviews as a concert venue. i believe morrissey played there a couple of years ago.

This just simplified my decision as to which Ted Leo show to attend:

WED DEC 1- TED LEO/ PHARMACISTS, WASHINGTON SOCIAL CLUB, MARY TIMONY (Food Not Bombs blanket drive) $10 mainstage 8:30

Not to sound "out of the loop" but I've heard alot about WSC from here but have never heard them. Most of you know who I like, does this sound like someone I might be interested in?
They sound like 80's new wave to me. Sure, you'd probably like them. At least more than I do.

But by all means, go see Ted Leo. Can't see how anyone wouldn't like him, at least to some degree.
