Sorry if this is a repeat as I just can't keep up with things anymore. I just read this and know Lily will appreciate this even if no one else does.

Not an area show but I know some of you get up to Chicago periodically so I'll post this anyway. If I could, I would definitely be at this show. It's going to be one rocking, droney night of pure bliss.

Airiel & A Place To Bury Strangers

Thursday, May 31st
we are importing Brooklynâ??s loudest band ever to
play with us at Darkroom.
Filter Magazine and Bone Shaker Productions present Airiel and A Place To Bury Strangers. Plan on calling in sick to work
on Friday. Weâ??re ALL gonna be in the hospital after this one.

I know that Airiel now consider A Place To Bury Strangers their favorite band so I suspect that they will be very on that night.

the great part about the chili cookoff ordeal was that one of my teachers (my phys ed teacher at the time) was WORKING at the show. and you know…the thing is basically an all day beer fest…to WORK there..you know. i saw a lot of breasts that day. me and my teachers. [/QB]
This happened to me once. I was at the Aerosmith concert at Nissan Pavilion last september, and one of my science teachers was there. Not only there, but working as well. Not only that, he is one of the many of my football coaches. Doesn't get much awkward than that(except maybe seeing your Sex Ed teacher).

Is no one going to the cookoff for Jet? I was suprised how last december's show here didn't sell out that quickly (Think it sold out a week before the show). Is Jet not as popular as I thought they were?
Are you referring to AC/DC Jr.?

Comparing them to AC/DC is giving them far too much credit, and I'm not even a very big AC/DC fan.

Please don't disrespect AC/DC like that.

Maybe everyone (except DC101) finally realized how shitty and unoriginal that band is? Maybe people finally picked up an AC/DC or an Iggy Pop record and realized the blatant rip-offs this band used to get popular?
