Do they have a new album coming out? I havent heard anything form their camp in years.
First single "Flashover" is getting heavy airplay on the relevant BBC stations. Steve Lamacq just played it on his show. If you're a fan, you'll probably really like it.
Album "Surfing the Void" releases August 23 in the UK. Not sure about here.

Meh, it'll be on the internet. Loved them last time they came to the club, lots of energy and it was just about half the floor was full and everyone was dancing. Still wear my "Klaxons Are Kunts" shirt a bunch.
I agree, the Klaxons were a lot of fun that time, and i am ready to catch them again.

I got sick of waiting and got one a true vine records yesterday from Dan Deacon himself.
Here's one for the woman with the two kids.

Farmer Jason is Jason from Jason and the Scorchers. Recommended even if you don't have kids.

We'll be baking in Baltimore at the O's/Nats game.

Less exciting can still be exciting when compared to Mogwai.  Anybody ever been to that venue?
Yeah. The venue is cool. Old refurbished church.

2640 Space is awesome but no alcohol.  If you want it you have to sneak it in.  Which shouldn't be very hard and I think is expected.  Explosions in the Sky is one my top 10 most hated bands so I won't be attending.
yeah, the no alcohol thing sometimes can suck - the other thing that sucks is there is no AC - so if it happens to be hot out, it's sweltering inside.
