From Facebook…
Regretfully, Farm Fest won't happen this year and will no longer be hosted on the Carney Farm. The venue raised the rates on us and we aren't in a financial position right now to take the risk. Our apologies to all the loyal Farm Fest followers who will miss out this summer. However, plans are already in motion to revive the festival for 2014 at a different location! Stay tuned…
To those of us who attended the fest in years past, this is sad news.  it was probably the most fun festival that i have ever attended.  Oh well, i guess i will wait till 2014…
Sad news. They had a great thing going.  :'(

GREY MARCH (CD RELEASE SHOW!)
w/ HISTORY REPEATED (EX-GOVERNMENT ISSUE)

I haven't seent his in just announced.  Is anyone going to this show.  I haven't seen Grey March since 1986 and Government Issue since 1985 so I guess this would a nostalgia show.  But both of these bands used to be quite popular with me.

Just saw this on DC Showlist…don't think it got a mention

The Cynics W/Jake Starr[former Adam West frontman]
Thursday April 4th at Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring
9:30 PM
Free

If you like garage rock then this is the show for you…these guys are influential legends from Pittsburgh who started in the early 80's and rock hard and fuzzy

Damn I saw that farm fest cancellation coming. I talked to those guys and they said if they couldn't find a venue by March 1 the fest was off. I really hope they bring it back. It really was the best one day camp out fest around.

Exodus is out for Death Fest, Sacred Reich is in.

Friday, may 24th @ Sidebar Tavern - Coliseum…Another band that should be playing Death Fest.

4/4 is another one of those nights of a million shows.
DC is having a lot of those lately which is good I guess.

My wife and I are leasing a farm and want to try and host something like this sometime.  PM me and get me and that dude in touch and we'll talk.
I'm so old I remember them from the 80's.

jake starr & the delicious fullness put on a fun show, too.  an opener worth making it there early for.  i believe they go on a 9:45, the cynics at 10:30 or 10:45.
Any onsale info for Mudhoney?
