Just Announced

Red Onion? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?

I would love to see some shows announced that, you know, cater to more than 15 people, and, you know, more than 30 people know who they are!

This is like the early DC hardcore scene…50 rich kids from Georgetown Day Prep. WTF?

Daniel and Nathan are amazing musicians.  You might even like them.

A lot of different types of shows are announced here.

Lana del Rey at Jiffy Lube was just mentioned. Plus with all the Foo Fighters and AC/DC talk, we got the stadium rock covered.

I'm a vinyl hound…I did plenty of shopping there for years until I decided the owner Josh is a freak and stopped going there..

but I question posting these kind of things

Grog and Tankard Open Mic Night
Thursdays
Johnny Artis Band
Madams Organ
December 4
Uli Jon Roth
Empire
Feb 9
Wait does this place still exist or are you trying to be funny?
Josh has been the nicest guy in all my dealings with him.
I wish you were here when Snailhook was regularly posting. ;D

Snailhook's booked Nathan Bowles a bunch and posted about those shows…in his old house. Or is it the location that bothers you? What a strange thing to get upset about.

Snailhook posted about shows at Velvet Lounge dude…

Don't overtake the thread with free shows for 5 people at the CD Cellar or Red Onion..come on now..that place is tiny…WTF? who are you posting for? the other four people going? You're all on the mailing list anyways.

If the show doesn't meet a certain critical mass, really, post those types of shows rarely….or start a new thread..

I do that with Outer Body Llama cause I'm friends with the guys in the band….I post them even though their shows dont' get but a handful of people..maybe a few dozen on a good night… but I don't make a habit of it…that's not what this thread is for.
Done .. i started a thread for you Azaghal to post these "shows" of yours..

Why would he start a new thread for that show?  And what does it matter if 1 person or 50 people are interested in a show that is posted?  I personally post things I would go to, or that I find interesting.

So take your crap elsewhere.  Overtake the thread?  You mean like the 16 posts non-show related posts for the last couple of pages?  Posts about Richmond schools?

At least we are using this thread for it's purpose.
Go start a thread for yourself.
Between 03 and 08, Snailhook regularly hosted shows at his house at 611 Florida and at the Warehouse Next Door. He also posted those here. Those shows' locations doesn't make them (or my occasional CD Cellar/Red Onion announcement) any less important than shows in other venues. Sorry but you will just have to deal.
.
Seriously?  What is your problem?  Why do you care who posts what?

Why don't we all start our own Announcement threads?
