How the hell is this not at the club or at least the cat?

Are the Raincoats not as big as I am thinking?

big? depends on what you mean by "big"?

never more than a very fringe cult band..of course they should have been BIG.

big in influence if only because of cobain (and courtney)/kim gordon

glad they are coming to dc..i'll be there assuming no catastrophe.

does one buy tickets online for comet? never been there (added: for a show that is)..

actually have their first album but the original issue does not have the excellent single that was tacked on to the cd..
Typically, no, Comet does not sell advance tickets.

I've only been to Comet for a show once (Chain & the Gang/Kid Congo Powers), but that one time was fucking mess as far as tickets/lining up/starting on time. I was on weedbaklava; while that might have added to my personal confusion, other older rockers in queue expressed frustration with the line/tickets situation.
It ran fairly smoothly each time I have been there.

Super annoying that they have no schedule listing in one place now, though. At least the one place they used to have it no longer has it.
God that line at Comet for Kid Congo Powers/Chain and the Gang was such a cluster-fuck. But other shows I've been to there have been much less hyped and a lot easier to get into.
The Raincoats have to at least be the biggest name to play Comet to date.

awesome.  this is my new favorite expression.

"why did you park so far away from the club?"
"sorry, i must have been on weedbaklava".

"you were at the private radiohead show?!?"
"yeah dude… i was like being on weedbaklava"

"so there we all were, naked on the rooftop of the W hotel - on weedbaklava, clearly - when all of a sudden security shows up and…"
