Did the White Stripes ever play the Black Cat (first two albums)?
Yes.. the older smaller Black Cat in fact, they also played the old tiny Ottobar which is now the Talking Head. Also saw The Go at the old BC…

Looks like they're playing a lot of remote locations on this tour - remote Canadian territories, Delaware - I guess Fairfax makes sense in that context.

At least the show is on a Saturday night. That's huge. The Raconteurs rocked it there. No doubt this will still be great.

I'm pretty sure they played the Black Cat a few times, most recently the very next night after the GBV/Strokes show in February 01. I was out of town that weekend but I think my regret about missing those was accurate. Maybe someone can confirm or deny.

That Ottawa Blues Fest in July looks sweet.

Shite, same date as Rock The Bells. Uggh, why would they play Patriot Center in the middle of the summer?
I was hoping for another Merriweather show myself. Supposedly, they're trying to hit the 16 states they haven't played before. Have they played anywhere in Virginia before? Obviously, they played Merriweather (Maryland) last, and DC before that (Smith Center in 2003) so maybe that's the reason why they are playing the Patriot Center. Hope the floor will be GA and not seated!

Is this an IMP production? Any idea when tickets will go on sale?
So far all I got is Pre-sale info, and go hmya for it:

It's a good venue. Small, reasonable drink prices, and pretty easy to find.
