Just Announced

I just saw Simon & Garfunkel are coming to Balmore….with The Everly Brothers. Isn't that Everly Brother ??? Or am I thinking of the Righteous Brother(s)?

Either way, that's definately one to take grandma to if you'd like to get her out of the retirement home for an evening. I just hope they increase handicap parking 10-fold for that one or it could get ugly.
The Righteous Brothers are the one who had the guy die.

Bags and ggw are the only two people on this board who can afford those tickets, and I don't see ggw having an interest.

$225 for S&G and $60 for Bowie….some things in this world just don't make sense.
$15 for the Drive By Truckers.

$80 for Prince, at MCI Center, and $225 for Madonna, same venue. It's a crazy mixed up world.

$80 for Prince
Worth every penny.

He played 29 songs in Cleveland. That's $2.75 a song. I would have paid $80 just to see the encore live:

ENCORE
The Beautiful Ones
Nothing Compares 2 U
Purple Rain

Purple Rain was 10 minutes of pure electric guitar R&B bliss.

An aside…they play his HOF induction speech [by Alicia Keys] to start every show on this tour. It's pretty cool:

There are many kings, King Henry the 8th, King Solomon, King Tut, King James, King Kong, the Three Kings, but there is only one Prince.

Only one man, who has defied restriction, whose defied the obvious and all the rules to the game. The mysterious figure who in a river of words will not suffice can be identified as a symbol. There is only one man who is
so loud he can make you soft, who is so strong he makes you weak, so honest you feel kind of bashful, so bold he defies you to be subtle, and
so superbad he makes you feel so supergood. He's the only man that I've ever seen that lights the stage on fire, leaving you to burn within it in
a frenzy of movement, lights, electric guitars, slides, pianos, dances, voices, splits, and songs. …songs so powerful, that you are
forever changed, songs that make you laugh and cry - think and dance, songs that made me look at song writing as stories that are untold passions dying to be heard. He is the inspiration that generations will return to
until the end of time. So yes Ladies and Gentlemen, throughout history there have been many many kings, both real and mythological, they have borne sons but none of them can touch the rays from this man who stands alone. A man that I am tremendously proud and honored to help induct into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame because now it is forever changed. Ladies
and Gentlemen I want you to get on your feet and I want you to pay homage to the one and only, Prince.

lol. I saw this yesterday. I thought the picture looked might-y familiar. I bet in a week a flag is placed across their bodies. Kinda like Jimmy Eat World's original album title, "Bleed American", being changed after 9/11.
My wife looks a lot better than her naked.

Come to think of it, I look better than all of them naked too.

Not sure anyone here will care, but FYI. Presales for both Simon & Garfunkel and Alanis Morissette & Barenaked Ladies.
