$125 for Black Keys?  Gimme a break

So let me explain how this works…

If this were playing the arena, where it was scheduled to play, the first 5000 seats or so would have have cost at least that

So we go to them and say hey how about we lop off the rest of the building and give you all that money to play here

So where would you rather rather pay $125…at the arena or The Anthem
I wouldn't rather pay $125 anywhere. I would pay $50 for a moderately decent seat.  I can't afford the premium concert experience every time.

Exactly – false choices/equivalencies are the fool's fig leaf. I wouldn't pay $125 to see Black Keys play at the Velvet Lounge no matter how intimate it might be.

This is easy: Anthem.
[can I get a comp ticket?]

Edit: My DMs are open Seth, and you have my email.
I have, on occasion paid more than $125 (inflation adjusted) for a ticket. But that's a rare occasion, not a rule.

FWIW, I would also go to the Black Keys if I were comped in ;)
If given a Black Keys ticket, I would donate it to a homeless person. Too bad the Black Cat Black Cat fella passed. Seems like he would have been a fan.

I think the homeless person would appreciate you selling it on stubhub and giving them the proceeds

can't put a roof over my head, but damn just got free tix to an overpriced alt-rock show!

I don't think we're blaming the venue rather the artist - Black Keys is a $65 show! :)
I'm also not going to go to the Black Keys show, but am surprised at people dismissing this so quickly.  I'm sure we all have bands we like that play arenas.  If some of these acts end up at the Anthem, that's a huge upgrade for the same price.
Same price as VIP. Not the same as working class.
