whoa whoa whoa . . . stop the clock.
damn, go out of town a few days and all the good news gets announced. seth. yes seth, i am talking to you. i know you are reading this seth, because you love to read the ramblings of "imaginary" people typing away on computers and since you are reading this you will remember that i asked for two days of polyphonic spree. well you don't have to honour that you know, i mean because like who are we kidding at this stage in the game. what, like ten people even know who polyphonic is anymore and they made the huge mistake of going away for so long. just one day is enough, as long as they play the place that was awesome enough to have them the past two times they rolled through town.

Last time I saw him headline the club in summer of 2009, the show was not sold out. Might have been 80% full.

This kinda odd as Black Star is back and supposedly touring. And he is also allegedly is pulling a Cougar Mellancamp and going by his real name Yasiin Bey from now on.

I did that on Tuesday. Old Bay tater tots, too. Delish.
Mos Def did not sell out the summer '09 show because he had played the club twice the prior winter. There was also a huge fiasco surrounding those shows. I went to the first (of two on the same night) and he showed up for the first around the time he was supposed to be ending it. People were livid. In fairness to him, he said his flight was late and from what I've heard, he's the exception when it comes to lack of punctuality with regard to hiphop acts.
I also caught much of the Summer one and by comparison it was empty. It was also better.

I came in here to post this then got sidetracked.
SBTRKT 3/30

Yeah that was the most tension I have felt in a 9:30 Club crowd. I think he was 2-3 hours late. People were booing and said "dont blame me, blame continental airlines"

Geez, empty? I've always wanted to see Mos live. Might try and make it out this time. Is he pushing a new album?
