Just Announced

so, has anyone seen any other sources/confirmations of Radiohead @ nissan, and/or any other north american dates? other than this bboard, i haven't found anything - which would be surprising if this story is indeed true.
All I know is that Radiohead was in negotiations with both Nissan Pavilion (LiveNation) and Merriweather Post Pavilion (I.M.P.). It seemed like there was a deadline that had to have been reach by last week. Dates will be announce shortly.
It would be extremely hypocritical of Radiohead to profess a green agenda and then play at Nissan - a venue that desecrates the land - as opposed to Merriweather which enhances nature. Green isn't just about conservation - its also about respect and affection for the environment.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Thom Yorke take a dump onstage and fans applaud madly? If so, how green are they? More like brown if you ax me.
I think when Radiohead talked about a "green" tour, they were referring to their desire to make a boatload of money, not about environmentalism.
Does anyone seriously believe that Merriweather is significantly more "green" than Nissan? It's just as trashed at the end of the night, the same toilets are overflowing, the same 5-10k cars drive multiple variances of miles on highways to park in the lot (of either dead grass or gravel, take your pick) and idle in traffic going in and out, and the electricity is coming from the same type of source, as far as I know.

I don't think leaving a few more trees around the perimeter makes it worth crying about.

excellent.
Was wondering when that Silver Mt. Zion show would go on sale.
I wonder if they're gonna use programmed drumming again. They really need a live drummer, IMO.
