Just Announced

The Downtown Countdown lineup has been announced for DC. I thought Naughty by Nature was ina retirement home or something. It is going to be interesting to see what type of hole they climbed out of. See the link for the full-lineup.

Perhaps it goes without saying but I will state it anyway, 'I wouldn't be caught dead there.'

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Thank you Seth!!!!!!!!!! absolutely perfect timing too.. ah. so. happy.
How fast will Shadow sell out?
Probably won't sell out in advance. I don't remember him ever being a big live draw although you'd think otherwise.

Edit: Then again, I've been 100% wrong in just about every ticket sales estimation I've ever made so take it for what it's worth which isn't much.

Somebody in this area needs to book Vampire Weekend. They are the next Bloc Party, Clap Your Hands, Arcade Fire, etc… Their first album (set for release in 1-2008) is great and has been getting mad love from the blognoscenti for months now.

Don't take my word for it:

Or Peter Gabriel, take your pick. Either way, I think the demos are easily one of the top five albums I've heard this year.
