This has to be the absolute WORST venue I have ever been to anywhere.  One thing is that the sound is not all the great.  Another (and even worse) is the venue is located in the hoity toidy section of Henrico County.  It is actually only about 3-4 miles from my house (I am the token -fill in descriptor here - in this area).  The people that frequent this venue are the money types who think that just because they have a nice bank account means they don't have to give a flying shit about anyone or anything else.  A ruder and more arrogant crowd would be very difficult to find anywhere anytime.  This place sucks so much I have driven 2½ hours to see a show that was at this venue the next night.  Not a very good place and not a place that I would recommend to even my enemies.

Your description makes the Lynyrd Skynyrd show booked for that venue on 4/28 very tempting to attend, from an anthropological perspective.

I would imagine given the correct mindset and a complete understanding of what to expect, viewing the event from a safe distance might be worth the effort.  FYI…  This venue is actually a tent covered stage in a gravel lot (more or less) surrounded with a chain link fence.  One could easily park in the adjoining lot and observe without having to pay the price of admission.
