Exactly. Oh no, they say he's got to go, Godzilla!!
Well I know where smackie will be on June 15th and then snickering at us the next day…

U.K. rock act the Coral will release its fourth album, "The Invisible Invasion," Aug. 30 in North America via Deltasonic/Columbia. The set was produced by Portishead's Adrian Utley and Geoff Barrow and will arrive May 23 internationally. First single "In the Morning" hit retail stores earlier this week.

"This record is all the best bits of all our previous albums rolled into one," says guitarist/vocalist James Skelly. "We also wanted an album we could play live in comparison to the last one. It's a lot warmer sounding. We wanted the first few records to sound the way they did, with more treble, but this time we wanted to explore something new."

The Coral will preview the new material on a six-date North American tour next month, which will hit
Toronto (June 7)
New York (June 9)
Chicago (June 11)
Los Angeles (June 14)
San Francisco (June 15)
Seattle (June 17).

Actually, I was going to snicker about the Go-Betweens on the 17th, not The Coral on the 15th. I was planning a PM to Markie on that one.
seems like Toronto is more popular than DC these days.
a tour like this is designed to hit the big population and entertainment media centers in North America. Loads of UK bands start tours in Toronto. DC unfortunately only produces the dullest of media…

have you heard if there has been a big increase in show attendance since Dig!, you know, people hoping to see Anton go nuts
The exposure has helped alot.Even if Anton wasn't happy with the movie,it's definitely helped ,particularly generating press.Their yahoogroups is exploding with newbies.

[when you live right across the street it is. last year i was coming home from work only to be hearing everclear (maybe it was the year before). pleasant surprise that i could walk outside my apartment and get a free show. was even better when i walked across the street, saw how empty it was and was right up front watching everclear.. not bad! :)
well, for convenience, sure. I too, right across the street and saw Everclear. Deplorable performance. Absolutely.
(However, the side booths/acts seemed better and more interesting)
has it been posted here that Dead Meadow are opening for Sleater Kinney, well they are
is it jsut me or does it look like at the top right hand corner of the screen it say FAG. i know it says FAQ, but that underline…

rilo kiley has been announced.

I remember distinctly reading rilo kiley and franz ferdinand somewhere, but I didn't know if it meant one was opening one half, and another the other, or both were opening every show.

whats there to celebrate about Fairfax anyway? another Parkway with no gas stations?

is this like the Hagerstown Fair?
funny, this will be the first year in a long while that They Might Be Giants isn't playing.

Yeah, the fair is craptastic. But I still rented a car and towed some friends out there to see TMBG. that was silly.
