Really? Damn.
So we can eliminate that weekend as a possible Freefest weekend (David Gray on Sunday).

Anybody have any predictions when the date will be? I'm hoping for 8/28 or 8/29, like last year. I'm hoping against Labor Day weekend, or the Saturday after that. Are there other Aug/Sept festivals besides Austin City Limits later in September that Seth would be competing with?

Now that it's official, I can post this. Was leary of stirring up the pot the other week with only speculation realizing that something might yet work itself out. No go though.

The entire Chapterhouse US tour has been cancelled. Or, hopefully, postphoned.

Yes, because of the volcano but a little bit more involved than that. Basically, Stephen Pattman was stranded for awhile in Japan (and may still be there) because of the transportation delays. Most importantly, that caused him to miss his visa interview with the US Embassy; hence, the cancellation of the entire US tour.

I'm hoping that this was Mother Nature's way of saying that if they plan to tour the US, they need to do a proper tour and include more cities. Assuming the tour went well, they were planning on returning for a more extensive tour once they realized how big of a place this is; so, one can hope.

Hey, Snail…  ;D

They sucked at Bonnaroo.  They sucked at the 930 club.  They were horrible on SNL.  I dont think a bigger stage is going to do them any good.

Also:

Last Basement Speakeasy show ever!

b-b-but theyre indie! and they have that one song! about kids!
They were terrible at Coachella too.  Their new album is garbage.
if you compare MGMT and Vampire Weekends second album (I thought they were the same when they came out) Vampire Weekends album wins hands down  ;D
