Train? Really?

It's a shame that such an awesome venue gets such crappy acts.

This is part of the chili cook off I think the other bands are Stone Temple Pilots and Switchfoot

Hmmm. Having grown up in the grunge era, my interest is definitely piqued by an STP/AIC show. :)

I'm only a moderate PJ fan, but the live shows seem to be raved about, and I live in Bristow. If lawn tickets are reasonable, I'll go. Any idea of ticket prices?

Looks like tickets are priced 39.00 to 79.00.  So after service charges, those 79 tickets will be like 90 something.  Anyone ever got pit for pearl jam shows if they are not in the ten club?  I have never been able to pull pit but will try again this time.  ;D

Hell no. You have to be Ten Club or have some kind of connection to the band (i.e. Theo Epstein at Boston shows).

I did, however, get front row seats to the far left at their 2008 Virginia Beach show. Thank you, Ten Club lottery!

I got tickets for the Bristow show, by the way, and one pair is $171.00. Oof.

(Sorry, everyone, for all the discussion!)

Not to familiar with them - are they that popular they need a presale/will sell out the club?
They're fairly popular.  Last album was a top-ten hit.  They're frequently played on DC101-type stations, alongside the latest singles from Godsmack and Breaking Benjamin.  :P
Mon May 24- HOLLY MIRANDA $10 Backstage 9:00 (on sale Mar 19)

Honest to God, first time I hear their first big single, I thought it was Gwen Stefani singing. /mypersonalrhettmoment

They have that HORRID female vocalist who screeches into the mic.  Makes your ears bleed.

LOL I was thinking how much a shame it was that such good shows go to such a turd bucket of a venue!
Which fans are douchier - Phish or Jack Johnson fans.  Both bands coming to Merriweather.

Weird.

There can't be enough room in there for them to play on the floor, can there?

How did one of the cool new spaces popping up lately not get this one?

Paper Sun would've been perfect for it.

Edit: Oh I see why they are playing DC9. Fucking Windish.

Either way, I'll take it.  I've never gotten the chance to see them before.

Yeah, same here.

I can see myself doing a couple more dates on the tour, too.

Baltimore, Philly, NYC if on a weekend…
