I know it said "The Strokes with special guests The Secret Machines" when I bought tix, but I don't see any mention of it on either band's website. Are TSM really playing?
I got my info from the promoter/radio station. I assumed they knew what they were talking about.
Well, it still does say Secret Machines when you go to buy tickets. But I think it's just kinda weird that it doesn't appear on TSM tour list or on any other concert list. Had a feeling this was too good to be true…
a few Sonar shows that may have slipped under the radar.

June 25 -
Apes, the Liars

June 27th -
Radio 4

July 12th -

Looks like this one is on the club stage. I may skip the Black Cat show and see this one instead.

How can you say that? Simple Machines has been featured in both Spin AND Rolling Stone. and the singer was married to Chrissy Hind.

If you can't get to the Black Cat to purchase your ticket(s) in person, this is surely cheaper than Ticketmaster.

Not necessarily. For a single ticket, TM is cheaper. $3.75 vs. $5 in service charges. For more tickets, the TM fees start piling up though.

Nice catch. Thanks for the info. Since I'm going to the Pretty Girls Make Graves show at BC next Monday, I'm just going to wait until then to buy my MoB ticket. As a result, I didn't bother to register and go through the checkout process to find out what kind of service charges MusicToday were charging. The e-mail sent to the Mission of Burma mailing list made it sound like they were cheaper than TM, but not always as you found out!
I know all you yegs have been downloading his tracks like crazy:

You should have seen her when I did, down at the Baltimore Inner Harbor, for free, circa 1993.
