Damn right. I just saw the Sword play this weekend and they were unbelievably good. The new songs are all instant riffarific classics, and they jammed on the songs on Age of Winters. Such a great band, can't wait for the BC show.

I had to return my tickets for a refund due to those motherfuckers cancelling their Sonar show that was supposed to happen a couple weeks ago. $40-ish wasn't bad when it also included Three Six Mafia, Keith Murray, Kool G Rap and Paul Wall on the bill; not gonna pay $50 just for them.

Nope. Lisner is just another venue in the city. Not really much that is booked there is geared towards a college audience.

well i guess they knew a little something because that show has been sold out for a while now. Tickets for it are going for 100 minimum on a lot of sites right now. Good thing I bought my tickets for it this summer, cause its gonna be a great show.

Not particularly. It's bad if you go to GW, but live considerably far from the District, but it's also good for the many area college students who will be in town for the holiday. (Meaning me. It's good for me, to be self-absorbed.) Having a concert close to a holiday may be questionable–although ticket sales suggest otherwise–but I don't see how the venue really factors into this one.
