95/150. Pit tix at MPP are 75 and best seats are 125.
Is City Winery in trouble? They hadn't announced any new shows in several weeks and now they've pulled all shows after Jan 1 off the calendar:

NEW: Source tells me City Winery DC will be closing its Ivy City location and relocating in the New Year. In email, CEO Michael Dorf told partners/musicians, in part: “when the neighborhood puts so many at risk, it makes it impossible to operate.” Interesting 🤔

This is a shame, it was like if the Birchmere was nice. Wish Mountain Goats were playing there instead. Oh well.

Got second floor box seats. Weird quick sale.

Very strange. TM didn't have their usual seat map where you could pick a section/seats. Grabbed a couple GA. MPP show already sold out.

It only showed me GA and I tried to buy about 15 times and kept giving me "whoops, another fan grabbed these seats first" message then all of a sudden populated a list of both GA + SES options and I was able to snag seats in my favorite box on the third try after two more "someone grabbed these first". Seems very hastily thrown together from a tech perspective.

is a shame, cool venue and good pre/post show options right around it (other half and some decent food options)
how is the neighborhood to blame?
if anything it's gotten 1000 times better since a decade ago, would have never caught me hanging around there after dark then
they didn't book any good shows… well maybe 1 or 2 i wanted to see.

Ticketmaster will be offloading the 170,000 remaining taylor swift seats over the next four weeks.

Pop is a new DC wine bar by the mind behind Maxwell Park devoted to all manner of bubbles. From champs to crémant, cava, lambrusco, beer, cider, spritzes & more, Pop will gleefully celebrate all things effervescent. Designed for hardcore bubbleheads and neophytes alike, to civilized sippers and revelers of every stripe, everyone’s welcome at Pop and every day will feel like a celebration. And just as pop culture is constantly evolving, so too will our offerings and décor all the while mindful that fun comes first, foremost, and forever. From the fizz to the food to the funky art to the fixtures, Pop’s the place to bring the party.
All joking aside, I was looking thru the window at that Tuesday trying to figure out what it was going to be.
I would never accuse IMP of such trickery,  but it's been noted that the vip seats don't always come onsale RIGHT when GA starts…. they'd prefer to get rid of those GA seats when they know VIP is a given sell out.
This show is an underplay (right?!?) so I doubt anyone cares which tickets sell first….since they will all sell

It may just have to do with the TM build happening quickly given it was announced less than an hour before going on sale.

But what do I know?
IMP announced Death Cab/Postal Service shows at the Anthem on 9/5 and 9/6

Imagine living in DC without a car but shelling out cash to see the show at MPP, only to have shows at the Anthem announced later. Whoops! That would suck.
I can't imagine living without a car. I can imagine living without paying 150 bucks to see Death Cab in 2023.
