Check that date. Their web site says December 9th.
converge are playing nation on saturday, november 5th and doing 2 shows (early & late) at the ottobar on friday, november 18th. i'm not a big fan of the venues but it doesnt really matter. they are one of the tightest (musicianship-wise) bands I've ever seen live and jacob bannon knows how to channel ferocity & urgency ala filth period-swans michael gira & iggy pop. don't let anyone ever tell you they're just another metal-core band.

some random guy walked up to me on the metro tonight, motioned for me to take out my earphones and yelled at me "CONVERGE IS JUST ANOTHER METAL-CORE BAND!!!"

i, of course, told him off … bastard

Oops – I got my bad info from Billboard.com but stand corrected. Friday is better anyway. Now if we could just do something about the venue . . .

you go hoya!!! no one talks about our band like that.. at least the guy didnt go so low as to say they're just another vegan metalcore band. that would have just been uncalled for.
today on Millenium Stage, 6 PM:

Jon Langford and Sally Timms of the Mekons, with violinist Jean Cook and Pere Ubu bassist Tony Maimone, play a selection of songs from their solo careers, plus Mekons and Waco Brothers chestnuts. In cooperation with the Future of Music Coalition, a not-for-profit collaboration between members of the music, technology, public policy, and intellectual property law communities.
Wow, thanks for posting that Rhett. It might be worth going to check out…anyone else going?
You're most welcome. We'll be there if both Celeste and I finish up at work in time.
