Better yet, the 9:30. Hey Seth!
I got kid duty in the early evening, so Birchmere doesn't work for me with their early shows.
5/7 is booked for both the Birchmere and the 9:30, 5/9 appears to be open at both.
At $85 plus fees, I'd have to pass anyway. In addition to the Monday in Annapolis thing.

oh this is good…potentially for me
$85 to see Lucinda WIlliams does strike me as a bit pricey…so I would have to also pass… I mean with fees it could be like $100…

btw, there's apparently going to be a Psychedelic Furs tour with Robyn as "special guest" so I wonder if he'll be around then because of that??

Interesting because the Furs haven't been playing much in this area.. I think they will never play an IMP show again after their last minute bail on the 930 30th Anniversary Show..
I saw them at the State Theatre 3-17-12

If City Winery does open a DC music venue they are going to duke it out with Ramshead Annapolis primarily and also the Birchmere.. also a little bit Jammin' Java/the Hamilton…its just going to drive up ticket prices for the consumer….. just looking at the NYC I spot one show that doesn't come to DC already

Art Garfunkel where $75 got you a barstool..
I can see the benefit for City WInery.. they will be able to offer artists a package deal for multiple cities…
I think this is primarily bad news for Ramshead Annapolis and I guess that could be kind of good news as having to travel to Annapolis from Northern Virginia is a bitch..
Good call on the pricing.
Just compared a Jammin Java show vs. a City Winery Chicago/NYC show…the guy from Queensryche. $25 for a seat at Jammin Java, $40 for a barstool at CW.

(me too, holy shit, huge work event the next day though, no way I stop myself from purchasing tickets for this, also very unlikely I can attend)
