The Black Keys
Modest Mouse
Anthem
Oct 12
Just Announced
It’s sort of like lorde….a tour of large arenas and in DC the Anthem which is much smaller….not sure if Verizon is booked night of Black Keys or they have a long time relationship with IMP
Lorde kept referring to Anthem as an intimate club and how nice it was to play a small and intimate venue…she said that Verizon was busy with a basketball game that night
Killers were also like that…arenas elsewhere and Anthem in DC
I guess when Anthem books these shows this is the price point we are looking at

Why bother? This board uses Just Announced as a catch-all for anything.

While I suppose one could nit pick that at The Anthem the sound is not as magnificently perfect as it would be at the 9:30 Club, it could not possibly rise to the level of a complaint when you consider that outside of the 9:30 Club, The Anthem, and Merriweather, no sound – including the voices of our loved ones and/or children – are worth hearing at all. And anyone who would blaspheme the holy name of the IMP sound systems and acoustics by contesting those unalterable facts should be immediately stoned to death for heresy against our Lord and Savior, Seth Hurwitz – may he live ten thousand years!!
