I noticed some of the same bands rumored to be playing in Baltimore on the 23rd were also rumored to be playing in Toronto a few weeks earlier, then I found this:

i never saw this one announced,

Mountain Goats, Sept 28, Black Cat..

YAY!
I think I announced it a few days back, but figured no one took notice when I posted Ween first.

I got my tickets this weekend. Now I just have to figure out how to get there and back and how to take vacation days when the rest of mine are already scheduled for other things.

Did they put on good shows back in the day? (With this kind of music, shows can suck…)

And can DAR be an okay place for this show?
they played nation in may of 2002, if i'm not mistaken and it was a fantastic show. sound was great, the staff were actually somewhat congenial, the lads were in top form, they fed offf the energy, and it was a fun, fun, crowd (but what do you expect when 70% of the crowd is gay?!).

everyone knows i hate nation, but that club, whether it was them, or it was the pet shops boys, put together a damn excellent show that evening.

i'm going to see them at constitution hall, defnitely. though, that said, its really not a good venue for them at all. hell, bender arena would even be better. two nights at the 930 would have been ideal!

whoa, talk about an exciting August in DC!!!
I think the reason why the Pet Shop Boys picked Constitution Hall is because it's going to be a fairly theatrical show, hence they a bigger stage than what the 9:30 has to offer. If that's the case, then DAR is fine by me.

What ever happened to the Warner Theater for music?? Much better venue than DAR….I would go to the Warner in a heartbeat….
Just saw how much tickets for the Pet Shop Boys are in SF…topping out at $95. OUCH.
