what are you studying there? i'm there as a business major and just finished my first year. its a great place, hope you love it.
Graphic design.
I loved the campues, so I'm excited.

Do you think I'd be able to get this "student" price?
either way, this lineup (for me) is worth 50 bucks

Dude…. The Duke Spirit? Does this mean a larger tour for them in the states in late July early August? If so….brilliant.
Silverintheshadows and Seth, THANK YOU!!!

Angie Aparo (and the Infidels? I don't even know anymore) August 15, IOTA.

is Iota a step up or down from Java? heh.
Wow, you are the queen of bad music taste. Wear your crown proudly.

Iota is in yuppieland. Jammin Java is in a suburban strip mall. Choose your poison.

And the credibility of acts who play at these venues is tarnished due to the locations? I don't know… I've seen some pretty great music at both venues.
O, I was just being snarky. I've seen great acts at both venues as well. I think there are certain people on this board who think that a club has to be located in the scrungy part of the city for it to truly be "rock and roll". I'm not one of those people.

No sweat - I know there are plenty of "better-thans" on this site who probably do have an opinion like that… I'll go wherever the music is

The Swell Season went IOTA > 9:30 Club > Oscar. ;)

and there's a reason I don't talk about a lot of the music I listen to on here..

fun fact: I actually toured with Angie for 6 months or so a few years ago doing his Merch. =]
Anybody seen the Smoking Popes live before? Can I expect to see them play stuff from Born to Quit or Destination Failure? I know they have changed over the years, lots of personal things I guess, just wasn't sure if they do stuff from those 2.

For a while, it looked like Eric Copeland was opening for Battles but now, it's no longer on the main page.

Kind of a bummer; he would've been a fitting opener.
